Welcome to the Itasca Automation Systems (IAS) website. We are pleased to offer you our full line of wire winding machines, fine wire air coil winding machines, Low Temperature Thermo-compression fine wire welding/bonding machines, automation machines, full service and preventative maintenance.
At IAS we manufacturer, design, integrate and import programmable/automated single spindle and multi-spindle coil winding machines and coil winding equipment for the magnet wire coil winding industry & coil winding automation. We provide engineering and manufacturing of custom designed dial or linear machines that include pin inserting, fluxing, soldering, finishing, taping, hot air bonding, wire stripping, component assembly, testing, vision inspection and much more.
Our programmable machines are used for winding motor rotors and stators, transformers, solenoids, ballasts and speaker coils; marine, medical, communications equipment coils, gauge coils and coils for many other electronic devices.
Itasca also manufactures low temperature Diamond Thermo_Compression units for the welding/bonding of fine wire (10 micron plus) to chips and flex pads for use in RFID’s, micro medical and electronic devices and sensors. This the only diamond tipped low temperature welder on the market; it’s low temperature allows for better life of both the chip and wire.
Itasca Automation stocks its standard bench top 100 and 100L programmable coil winders. We will tool and fixture these standard machines to meet your specific coil winding, bobbin and application needs.
We also provide bobbin design services as well as engineering services. In addition we will provide limited volume winding services for R&D and new product design test and trials of your product.
Itasca Automation imports the full line of Technology Products Company (TPC) coil winders from Slovakia. TPC machines are precision manufactured and will handle everything from light gauge to heavy end coils. Models are available for handling up to 880lbs. All TPC machines are computer controlled and Windows programmable.
Itasca also imports a standard line of multiple spindle machines from Synthesis in India. Synthesis multi-spindle machines are used for winding light gauge wire for smaller size, medium to high volume applications.
We offer a full Preventative Maintenance program as well as full service on all of our machines and as well as our competitors machines.
